This will be a basic introduction to a few counselling
skills. We will have practice sessions in small groups of 2 or
3 where by you, the student, gain experience in self development
as well as gaining experience of being in the both 'client' and
'counsellor' roles.
The workshop will also help you the student become
aware that the end of this course does not mark the end of your
training and development. It will show you the possible way forward
to undertake further necessary training and becoming a fully qualified
counsellor.
You will be expected to engage in the exercises
within the supporting course material and feedback ways in which
you can demonstrate the integration end understanding of these
new skills into your present work.
|
It is my, the tutor’s, responsibility to ensure that the
exercises undertaken are congruent to the level of the course.
Further support on the Course will be in the form
of a videotape of 'counselling skills’ in action.
The certificate issued will reflect a certificate
of attendance and accreditation by International Society of Professional
Counsellors & The Institute of Therapy Management.
